Join the City of Henderson for a Hispanic Heritage independent Film Viewing of “Tan cerca de las nubes” (So Close to the Clouds), a documentary by Manuel Canibe that brings to light an extraordinary chapter in Mexico’s sports and cultural history. The film recounts the journey of young Mexican women soccer players who, in 1971, managed to fill the Azteca Stadium, the largest stadium in Mexico. The film has a runtime of 95 minutes.

The talented student ensemble, Mariachi Alas Doradas from Keller Middle School, will be the opening act for the film.
