Together and separately, Paul Newman and Robert Redford starred in some of the most famous and influential films of the 1960s and 1970s. Their rugged good looks and versatility in both comedy and drama won audiences over, and both are well known for their philanthropy and advocacy. They invented the “Buddy” film with the two films they made together, setting a standard that is still in place today. This series includes some of Newman and Redford’s best films, as well as the two they made together. All screenings will be introduced by library staff, and followed by a discussion.
